Kuryu Matsuki- Scout Report

Kuryu Matsuki is a box-to-box midfielder who plays for FC Tokyo in the J League, and he has been linked with a move to Europe before as he’s one of the most highly sorted Japanese young talents to breakthrough in the future.

He is a very versatile player, slotting into any role in the middle of the park, which is a good quality to have as a midfielder. He is also a midfielder who has a high work rate with his tireless running, making him a good player for a team that likes to play a high intensity type of game like Eddie Howe and Jurgen Klopp.

He still isn’t the best physically, and his decision-making isn’t the greatest either, but that would come in due course as his overall game makes him great, and with his bundle of energy, he would be a good player for a Patrick Vieira side as they are lacking someone like that since Conor Gallagher returned to Chelsea, so he would definitely be a good replacement.

His stats are pleasing as they show how much of a talent he is at both ends of the pitch. His heat map shows how much influence he has on the pitch and how he dominates it with his tireless running.

Whatever team snaps him up will be lucky as he’s a hard-working midfielder who slots into most sides if he improves his physicality and decision-making, but he is definitely one to watch out for in the future.
