Crystal Palace are currently sitting in 12th place at the moment and are 4 points away from the relegation zone, and with a string of hard games ahead, it could be likely to see them getting dragged closer to the drop zone if they don’t pick up results as they have 1 win in 13 games in all competitions.

The problem at the moment for the Eagles is the lack of goal threat as they have struggled to put the ball in the net as since October they have had only 2 non-open play goals, which is a shocking stat that needs improving. They have also failed to pick up a win in 2023, which is again shocking as we are in March yet. They have had tough fixtures, but honestly, they have not looked like winning yet this year.

The lack of depth is also a growing concern as the club has failed to back Patrick Vieira and they are lacking depth in the fullback area and up top as both Mateta and Edouard are not in good form, with the latter scoring only 1 goal this year between them.

They will hopefully pick up some points as there is an easier run at the end of the season, which might keep them up if they can pick up points in their games, but with a hard few fixtures coming up and a possibility teams close to them might pick up points, it’s going to be hard graft for them.

A huge summer rebuild is needed as well, with key players out of contract like Zaha. They will hopefully have to get a replacement for him, someone who can provide an added spark to the team that they don’t have as they are struggling in front of goal, as this photo shows how poor they have been.

If they want to improve, they will have to change it up and play players in their right position, as Zaha is more effective off the left and Eze is more effective in the middle, but with Vieira not seeing that at the moment, it doesn’t look like it will change soon, which could possibly be the downfall of the side from South London.
