Denmark Vs Tunisia Game Review

This game started off slow but both teams were creating chances, but the first notable chance fell to the Tunisian side as Drager’s shot from the edge of the box deflected off Christensen and went wide. It was a good start by the Tunisian side as their constant press made it hard for their opponents to play their normal game which led to them taking different routes to play their game, but it was never looking likely that anything was going to happen for the Danish side.

It was a pretty stale game as both sides weren’t doing as much and all the chances that were being created weren’t troubling either goalkeeper. The next notable chance fell to Tunisa as Schmeichel made a good save to stop Jebali’s chip we all thought that was going in, but Schmeichel made a good sae to keep his side in the game.

Second half and Tunisa started out the gate well with Drager running at the Danish defence and causing problems for them. The Tunisian side were more likely to grab a goal as Denmark have not been playing good at all this game. The Danish side finally had a chance with Olsen firing into the bottom corner, but it was given offside as he was originally in an offside position. Denmark finally started to become more dangerous as Dolberg tried flicking it on to his strike partner, but he wasn’t there to latch onto the flick on when he needed to.

Denmark started to pile on the chances which for the Tunisian goalkeeper into making saves as he pushed Eriksen’s shot wide. Then from the resulting corner the easiest chance of the game was missed by Cornelius as Christensen headed the ball onto him, but his touch could only hit the post it looked like it was in for a second. It was somehow 0-0 but the game started to light up a bit now both teams were going at it and were trying to find the goal that could potentially win the game for either side.

It was looking like a 0-0 draw but then at the end of the game there was a var check for a possible handball by Meriah the ref had a look but decided not to give it which made the Denmark fans in the stadiums erupt as they thought they have been robbed off a clear pen but replays showed it hit his chest first before hitting his hand 0-0 and it was a fair result as neither team did enough to win the game and both goalkeepers played well which was a factor of the 0-0 draw today.

Man of the Match: Aissa Laidouni

It was a good performance from the Tunisian Midfielder as he bossed the middle of the park as he won all his tackles and won almost all his ground duals which made him stand out as one of the best performers of this game. They will need more performances like that from him if they want to have a good run in this tournament as he totally dominated the midfield today and made it hard for Denmark to play their own game.

Flop of the Match: Kasper Dolberg

It was a game to forget for him as people had high hopes in him after his performances back in euro 2020 but today was just not his day as he only amassed 22 touches in sixty-five minutes and barely looked like scoring at all today his side will need him to play much better in their other group games or they will be in trouble as he is one of their main marksmen and if he doesn’t have the confidence then they will be in trouble.

The stats show it’s an even game with both sides having 11 shots with Denmark having more shots on goal than Tunisia. The possession game is similar as well with Denmark having fifty nine percent and Tunisa having forty-one. Overall, it was an even game with a deserved result of a 0-0 draw both teams will hopefully want to bounce back if they want to get far in the competition.
